Hotness

Man- it's been HOT! This whole first week has been in the high 90s into the 100s. Some days we dont even get out of bed till noon, and then just to laze about until mid-afternoon. When we can finally gather enough strength to actually leave the apartment its a struggle to find something out of the sun.

On our lastest outing out, we were accompanied by our lovely hosts- James and Hasmik- to the nearby city of Mstkheta. Mstkheta is a special, nearly scared place since supposedly, Jesus's robe is buried under this massive cathedral called Sveti-Tskhoveli in the center of town and some other stuff that happened there. Well, anyway, we got there about noon- the hottest time of day, walked down a sunny sidewalk to the museum, and then all of a sudden our hosts decied it's too hot to continue and they turn around and go back! Just like that! A whole 5 mins and that did it for 'em! But, whatever, we couldn't blame them- they tried to take us around which was very nice since they'd both already been there. So we continued on our own and had a very pleasant sight-seeing day (in the baking sun).
